Independent Evaluations
Have you ever disagreed with your child’s evaluations performed by the District or received a District evaluation void of any concrete, meaningful recommendations? Parents may be entitled to Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) – comprehensive evaluations (often not covered by insurance) to be administered by a private doctor and/or provider of the parents’ choice at the district’s expense. An evaluation by a private, highly credentialed, unbiased doctor or provider could be just what you are looking for to point you in the right direction.
There are many situations that require the school district to foot the IEE bill. GDPC is ready to speak with you about your and your child’s rights.
